Memorial of the Cheb Provincial Assembly

In summer 1922, the association of university students from the district of Cheb, which was founded under the name Cheb Provincial Assembly in Prague in 1872, celebrated the 50th anniversary of its foundation in Cheb. The celebration culminated with the unveiling of a memorial at Zlatý vrch (Golden Hill) commemorating the university students fallen in World War I. The hardly legible sign says: “In memory of our brothers fallen in the world war, Cheb Provincial Assembly". And the names of the fallen students are engraved below.

The monument may be found in Dvořák Park.
